Well today is March 24th, and it is Callie Lou's 2nd birthday. When I met Mike I told him that I celebrate Macie's birthday every year, and I don't think he believed me. Well now we celebrate Macie and Callie's birthday. This year for Macie's birthday, the girls were visiting their Oma and Ol' Pop, so my mom went and bought cupcakes for Macie. This year I made 2 dozen cupcakes and we each had one tonight. Mike is going to take the rest of the cupcakes to work tomorrow, but he said he wasn't going to tell everyone they were left over from his dog's birthday celebration. I uploaded a video of Mike and I singing to Callie as she tried to eat the burning candles. We took the girls outside before we gave them their cupcakes and now the sugar rush has worn off and they both crashed on the couch. Enjoy the video, ignore the singing and Happy Birthday Callie Lou!!

ReplyDeleteIt's so good to hear from you and congratulations on the baby! The best part of my life has been my children, and I'm so happy for you and Mike and what's ahead of you. Definitely not easy, but oh, so wonderful.
I can't believe we only have a couple of months left in our first year at Farley Middle School. I transferred over to the new school when Dottie Struble signed on as principal. I was able to build the library from the ground up, and that was very rewarding.
I'm working on book #4, but also have plans to publish a picture book this summer, too, called Feathers. My daughter's halfway throught the illustrations, and they're precious. I wrote the story for our 7th graders in Writing Camp we had this year.
